Beijing, November 25th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with David Perdue, US Ambassador to China.

Liu said, President Xi Jinping's phone call with President Donald Trump yesterday, building on the successful meeting in Busan, further recalibrated the course of the China-US relations and provided more momentum for it, demonstrating the overall stable and positive trend of bilateral relations. The CPC maintains different forms of exchanges with the Republican and Democratic parties of the United States. The IDCPC is willing to follow the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and actively promote communication and dialogue between the two countries' political parties, think tanks, enterprises, youth, and civil society to promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral relations. Liu also briefed on the main achievements of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
David Perdue said, in the view of the US, there is no more important bilateral relationship in today's world than the US-China relationship. The current relations between the two countries are at a critical historical juncture. The US is willing to enhance dialogue with China, strengthen cooperation in various fields, solve problems of mutual concern, and achieve common prosperity in a mutually respectful manner. The US supports more communication and dialogue between the two countries' political parties.
The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of common interest.
