Beijing, December 5th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Jean Lemierre, Chairman of BNP Paribas and Co-Chairman of France China Committee. 

Liu said, yesterday, President Xi Jinping successfully met with visiting President Emmanuel Macron. They also attended together the closing ceremony of the 7th meeting of China-France Business Council, sending out a clear and positive signal for further deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and France and between China and Europe. The fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has adopted the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, which will bring more opportunities for cooperation between China and France and between China and Europe. The IDCPC is willing to actively promote practical cooperation between the two sides through the channel of political parties. 

Jean Lemierre said, the French business community felt heartened by the speeches of the two heads of state at the 7th meeting of China-France Business Council. French enterprises attach great importance to and have long been deeply cultivated the Chinese market, and are willing to continue to deepen cooperation with China. They welcome Chinese enterprises to increase investment in France.
