Beijing, March 23rd—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Singapore's Temasek Holdings and former Senior Minister of Singapore.

Liu said, in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Singaporean leaders, China-Singapore relations have maintained a strong momentum of development. As a key enterprise with a unique role in Singapore, Temasek has played an active part in promoting bilateral cooperation. This year marks the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period. Not long ago, China’s Two Sessions adopted the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan, which will bring more opportunities to countries around the world, including Singapore. China stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation across various fields with Singapore through inter-party channels, so as to better advance the development of China-Singapore relations.

Teo Chee Hean said, Temasek has long been deeply engaged in and benefited from China’s economic development, witnessing China’s achievements across various sectors. Temasek is full of confidence in China’s long-term economic prospects, appreciates China’s business environment and the dynamism of enterprise innovation, and will continue to expand its presence in the Chinese market to share China’s development opportunities.
