Beijing, April 28th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) held here today an event titled the "Youth Dialogue: Gen Z Power and New Hope". The event aimed to enhance mutual understanding and mutual learning, and build consensus between young people from China and abroad. It also served as a learning activity for young people as part of the IDCPC’s education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct view on governance performance. Liu Haixing, Minister of the IDCPC, attended the event. More than 120 participants were present, including representatives from political parties, parliaments, media outlets, and social organizations in 14 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe, representatives from the IDCPC, the Working Committee for Central and State Organs, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) at the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, and the CPC Committee of Xingtang county, Hebei Province; as well as young representatives from new employment groups, advanced individuals in poverty alleviation, and literary and artistic circles in China. 

In his keynote speech, Liu said, the youth are the future and hope of a country. The CPC originates from the youth. After 105 years of arduous struggle, it remains youthful, always maintains the aspiration of youth and a pure heart, and ensures its cause is passed on from generation to generation and the Chinese nation achieves sustainable development. General Secretary Xi Jinping cares deeply about the youth, and regards youth work as a strategic task. He has written warm replies to the young people many times, and encouraged young people from China and abroad to walk hand in hand on the path to modernization. At present, the CPC is carrying out an education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct view on governance performance. It is working to guide young CPC members to firmly establish a view of political achievements focusing on benefiting the people, to work diligently in serving Chinese modernization, to deliver extraordinary achievements in their respective positions, and to realize the synchronized development of personal and national growth. The youth generation shapes the future of the world. In the face of the turbulent and changing international landscape, the young people across China and abroad will act as pioneers with a global vision, guardians of common security to foster lasting peace, and engage in open and inclusive dialogues, as well as equal consultations, jointly practice the four major global initiatives, and contribute strength to the modernization of respective countries and the progress of human civilization with concrete actions. 

Representatives shared insights on growth, entrepreneurship, service, and dedication around the theme of the conference. They stated that growing up in a rapidly developing, highly interconnected, and culturally diverse era, they believe individuality, vitality, and courage are distinct labels of Generation Z. As a generation nurtured and entrusted with great expectations by the times, they will firmly uphold progressive beliefs, assume social responsibilities, and demonstrate their vitality and value through hard work and innovation. Young people from all countries should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, leverage technological changes, play an active role in promoting the development of respective countries, enhance human solidarity, and address common challenges. 

Young representatives from China and abroad also jointly participated in experience activities of fine traditional Chinese culture such as tea art, calligraphy, and Peking Opera, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
