Beijing, May 24th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan. 

Liu said, over the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Pakistan relations have remained highly stable and grown stronger despite a changing international landscape, setting a fine example for state-to-state relations. The strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders serves as the greatest political advantage and strongest guarantee for the China-Pakistan community with a shared future. Inter-party relations have played a unique and important role in deepening strategic mutual trust, advancing practical cooperation, and enhancing people-to-people bonds between the two countries. The CPC stands ready to work with the PML-N and all friendly Pakistani political parties to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, further strengthen institutionalized exchanges, leverage the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum, deepen mutual learning and exchanges of experience on party governance and state administration, expand cooperation in areas such as think tanks, media, localities and people’s livelihood, maintain close communication on international and regional affairs, so as to contribute the wisdom of political parties and gather broader support for building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. Currently, China is advancing the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan and is willing to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Pakistan, jointly build an upgraded version of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and help Pakistan enhance its endogenous growth momentum. 

Dar noted, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. China has always been Pakistan's closest brother and partner. All political parties in Pakistan share a high degree of consensus on developing relations with China. Pakistan firmly adheres to the one-China principle and appreciates China's long-term valuable support for Pakistan's economic and social development, as well as its support for Pakistan to play a greater role in international and regional affairs. The CPEC has had a profound impact on Pakistan's economic and social development. Pakistan is willing to deepen the alignment of development strategies with China, strengthen people-to-people exchanges, and promote practical cooperation in various fields, ensuring that the ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China is passed down from generation to generation. Pakistan and China share similar positions on international and regional affairs, and Pakistan is ready to strengthen multilateral coordination with China to safeguard regional peace and stability and international fairness and justice. 

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern. 

Following the meeting, the two sides signed the memorandum of understanding on strengthening exchanges and cooperation under the new circumstances between the CPC and the PML-N. 

Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the IDCPC, Ahsan Iqbal, Secretary-General of the PML-N and Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, and others attended the meeting.
