Liu Haixing: No Allowance for "Neo-Militarism" to Grow, Wreak Havoc on the Region and Beyond
2026.09.22 / Source:

Wuhan, September 21st—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended here today the opening ceremony of the Commemoration of the International Day of Peace 2026.

Liu said in his address that Japanese militarism inflicted untold suffering on the Chinese people and the people of the world in history. The post-war international arrangements established by such international documents as the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation were precisely designed to prevent Japanese militarism from making a comeback and to consolidate the outcomes of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. We must be highly vigilant against any words or deeds that turn back the wheel of history, and must never allow "neo-militarism" to grow and gain momentum, wreak havoc on the region and beyond.
