Manila, February 27th—A CPC delegation led by Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a special briefing session in the Philippines on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Nearly 400 people attended the briefing session including Aquilino Pimentel III, President of the Senate; Pantaleon Alvarez, Speaker of the House of Representatives; and other leaders and cadres of the Philippine Democratic Party-People's Power (PDP–Laban) and representatives of media. The delegation comprehensively expounded the historical background and rich connotation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and presented 600 copies of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China II (English Version) to the PDP–Laban.

During its stay in the Philippines, the delegation held working talks with leaders of the PDP–Laban, met with leaders from member parties of the ruling coalition in the Philippines, and visited grass-roots branches of the PDP–Laban.
