Nouakchott, April 2nd--Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, President of Mauritania, met here today with the CPC delegation headed by Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Speaking highly of Mauritania-China traditional friendly relations, Aziz stressed that the ruling parties of both countries should play an important guiding role in the development of bilateral relations, and congratulated the Chinese people on the great development achievements made under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC.  

During the meeting, Li Jun introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and later on held a special briefing session to promote it for all walks of life in Mauritania.
