Ramallah, April 5th--Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian President met here today with the CPC delegation led by Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Appreciating the long-term and firm support of the CPC and the Chinese government, Abbas welcomed China to play a greater role in the Middle East affairs, and firmly believed the Chinese people will achieve greater outcomes under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC. Li expressed that China will support the just cause of the Palestinian people as always.

During the visit, Li also promoted Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to Palestinian major political parties and all sectors of society.
