Shenzhen, May 26th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with representatives of the Broad Front Confluence, the National Party and the Colorado Party of Uruguay, who were in China for the Second China-CELAC Political Parties Forum and the Special Promotion Conference on “Story of the CPC—Guangdong’s Practice of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”.

Li expressed that China is willing to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay as an opportunity to well implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and further intensify communication and cooperation with all parties in Uruguay, so as to promote China-Uruguay strategic partnership to develop in a sustainable and healthy manner.

Uruguay expressed that the forum has provided a new channel for political parties of China and Latin America to deepen understanding and learn from each other. All parties in Uruguay stand ready to continuously enrich the connotation of party-to-party exchanges between the two countries, in a bid to contribute strength to the development of relations between both countries.
