Li Jun Meets with Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Surinam

Shenzhen, May 26th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with Melvin Bouva, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Surinam.

Li thanked Bouva for attending the Second China-CELAC Political Parties Forum and the Special Promotion Conference on “Story of the CPC—Guangdong’s Practice of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” in China on behalf of the National Democratic Party (NDP) of Surinam, and expressed that China is willing to deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two parties, so as to promote the constant look-forward development of relations between the two countries.

Highly appreciating the great achievements made by China in reform and opening up over the past 40 years, Bouva noted that the NDP hopes to learn from the CPC’s experience on state governance and administration, in a bid to promote national construction of Surinam.
