Beijing, June 8th—Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Senior Consultant of the Chinese Association for International Understanding met here today on the morning with Kurt Beck, Chairman of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) of Germany and former Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Speaking positively of China-Germany relations and exchanges between the two parties, Wang expressed that China is willing to continuously deepen communication and cooperation with the FES of Germany and enhance non-governmental friendship between the two countries, so as to inject more impetus into the development of relations between both parties and both countries.

Beck expressed that the German SDP attaches high importance to relations with China and exchanges with the CPC. The FES will continue to carry out activities in China according to law, and actively promote relations between the two parties and Germany-China friendship.
