Beijing, September 11th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations (SCFR) of Iran headed by Kamal Kharrazi, Chairman of the Council and adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader.

Speaking positively of China-Iran relations and the role and influence of the SCFR of Iran, Li expressed that the IDCPC is willing to carry out all forms of exchanges and cooperation with the SCFR of Iran to promote the constant, healthy and stable development of China-Iran relations.

Kharrazi noted that the SCFR of Iran stands ready to strengthen group visits and policy communication with the IDCPC, and make concerted efforts to promote the in-depth development of Iran-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
