November 3rd, Pyongyang--Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) watched here today on the afternoon the first joint performance of China-DPRK literary and art workers.

Before the performance, Kim Jong-un met with the main members of the Chinese delegation of literary and art workers and took photos with them. Kim Jong-un spoke highly of the sound and stable development of the relations between the DPRK and China. He thanked General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC sending Chinese artists loved by the people of the DPRK for a friendly exchange performance. He said that the visit will effectively promote exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries in the field of culture and art, enhance friendly feelings of the two peoples, and consolidate the traditional friendship between the two countries.

The performance was held at the Mansudae Art Theatre in Pyongyang, and literary and art workers from China and the DPRK presented songs, dances and others loved by the two peoples. Kim Jong-un watched the whole performance and applauded continuously the wonderful performances presented by artists from the two countries. After the performance, the DPRK side presented flower baskets to congratulate the successful performance. In the warm applause of the audience, Kim Jong-un mounted the stage and shook hands with the main performers, warmly praising the artists’ superb performances.

Choe Ryong-hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the WPK Central Committee, and Ri Su-yong, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the WPK Central Committee, attended the above activities.
