Beijing, November 6th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today at noon with the delegation headed by Victor Bostinaru, Vice President of the Socialists & Democrats (S&D) Group in the European Parliament.

Qian noted that the S&D Group is an important political force in the European Parliament. The Chinese side is willing to further deepen bilateral inter-party exchanges to promote China-European Union (EU) comprehensive strategic partnership for sustained development.

Bostinaru expressed that EU-China cooperation is of great significance to world peace and development. The S&D Group stands ready to further enhance its relations with the CPC after the election of the European Parliament next year, so as to contribute to the development of EU-China relations.
