Beijing, November 28th—Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Ayad Allawi, former Prime Minister, Vice President of Iraq and leader of National Accord.
Speaking positively of China-Iraq relations, Zhu said that the CPC is willing to carry out exchanges and cooperation with the National Accord of Iraq and its affiliated political parties and jointly push forward China-Iraq strategic partnership. Combining the CPC's 70 years of experience in governance, Zhu also introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and expounded China's principled position on the issue of Hong Kong.
Allawi expressed admiration for the great development achievements and advanced governance experience made by the CPC during its 70 years of governance, stressing that the National Accord is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with the CPC, and learn from the CPC's experience in state governance, as well as looks forward to China playing a bigger role in realizing security, stability and development in the Middle East.
