Beijing, June 27th—Ma Hui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held here today a video call on the afternoon with Christian Stocker, Secretary General of the Austrian People's Party.
Ma spoke highly of China-Austria relations, saying that the two countries should focus on common goals and interests, continue to deepen mutual trust, exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation, and push China-Austria friendly strategic partnership to a new level. The CPC stands ready to work with the Austrian People's Party to strengthen dialogue and exchanges at all levels, enhance mutual understanding and trust, jointly promote the sound and steady development of China-Austria and China-Europe relations, and make new contributions to world prosperity and stability. Ma also clarified the Chinese side's position on the EU's plan to impose tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and the Ukraine crisis.
Stock said, Austria attaches importance to its relations with China and hopes to carry out constructive and regular dialogue with the Chinese side, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields on the basis of mutual trust, and jointly cope with global challenges. The Austrian People's Party is willing to strengthen exchanges with the CPC, properly handle differences through dialogue, and promote the development of Austria-China and Europe-China relations.
