Ma Hui Meets with Gerardo Torres, Secretary of International Liaison for the LIBRE Party and Vice Foreign Minister of Honduras

Beijing, August 30th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Gerardo Torres, Secretary of International Liaison for the Liberty and Refoundation (LIBRE) Party and Vice Foreign Minister of Honduras. 


Ma spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and emphatically introduced the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He said, the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Honduras is a correct political decision made in line with the historical trend and the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples. The CPC is willing to strengthen inter-party exchanges with the LIBRE, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and promote the sustained and stable development of China-Honduras relations. 

Torres said, the Honduran side firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to, together with the Chinese side, develop bilateral relations featuring independence and mutual respect and deepen practical cooperation in various fields between Honduras and China. The LIBRE is willing to strengthen experience exchanges in state governance and administration with the CPC to better benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
