Beijing, September 20th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of the National Front of Malaysia led by Mohd Puad Zarkashi, Member of the Supreme Council of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and Speaker of the Johor State Legislative Assembly. 

Sun spoke positively of the good development momentum of China-Malaysia relations. She said, the Chinese side is willing to take this year's 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to, together with political parties, government and all walks of life of Malaysia, implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and promote cooperation between China and Malaysia and cooperation within the region for more achievements. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with all the political parties of Malaysia, including the National Front, to help build the China-Malaysia community with a shared future. 

Mohd Puad Zarkashi and leaders of all political parties of the National Front of Malaysia highly commended China's modernization achievements and stressed that as members of the ruling coalition of Malaysia, they actively support the development of closer friendly relations between Malaysia and China. They looked forward to deepening exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, so as to promote more fruitful results in the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries at the new starting point.
