At the invitation of the Foreign Ministries of Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit the three countries from September 18th to 26th. The delegation introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee in an in-depth manner, exchanged views on jointly implementing the important consensus reached by the heads of state of China and each of the three countries and promoting the development of relations between China and the three countries.
In Qatar, the delegation met with Ahmad bin Hitmi AL-Hitmi, Chairman of the Qatari-Asian Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Shura Council, Yousef bin Ali Al Khater, Chairman of the Internal and External Affairs Committee, and Ahmad Hassen Al-Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and communicated with think tank scholars.
In Kuwait, the delegation met with Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Alahmad Alsabah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ghanem Suleiman Al-Ghenaiman, Managing Director for Kuwait Investment Authority, and Fatma Al-Salem, Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
In Bahrain, the delegation met with Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman Of Shura Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Diplomatic Affairs, and Issa Nasser Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs at Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and held discussions with members of the Bahraini-Chinese Friendship Society and think tanks.
Political leaders and people from all walks of life of the three countries expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges with the CPC and deepen exchanges and mutual learning of state governance and development concepts. They expressed their readiness to take the opportunity of China's further comprehensive deepening of reform to strengthen practical cooperation with China and push bilateral relations to a new level.
