Beijing, October 24th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of political parties of Myanmar composed of the Kayin People's Party, the People's Pioneer Party and the National Democratic Force.

Sun said, China and Myanmar enjoy traditional friendship. The Chinese side will firmly carry forward the "pauk-phaw" friendship between the two countries, and as always support Myanmar's efforts to strive for national unity and national stability and development. It is willing to work with the Myanmar side to push for more outcomes in China-Myanmar cooperation in various fields to better benefit the two peoples. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all parties in Myanmar and jointly promote the in-depth development of the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

The political parties of Myanmar said, Myanmar and China are "pauk-phaw" brothers. The Myanmar side attaches great importance to its relations with China, supports mutually beneficial cooperation and the building of a community with a shared future between the two countries, and thanks and expects the Chinese side to continue to provide valuable support for Myanmar's peace and development.
