Lu Kang Meets with John McKinnon, Chair of New Zealand China Council

Beijing, November 7th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with John McKinnon, Chair of New Zealand China Council (NZCC). Lu mainly introduced the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and stressed that China and New Zealand should continue to deepen practical cooperation in economy, trade and investment, and work together to promote multilateralism.

McKinnon said, the business community of New Zealand highly commends the decision to further deepen reform comprehensively and promote high-level opening up announced at the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee as well as follow-up policy and measures, and attaches importance to economic, trade and investment cooperation with China. New Zealand and China should strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields to inject more stabilizing forces into the global economy and trade.

The two sides also exchanged views on China-New Zealand relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
