Beijing, November 12th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Frank Slevin, Chair of the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC).

Lu stressed, China and the UK should implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen communication and dialogue, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly promote China-UK relations for steady and long-term development. He hoped that the UKNCC will continue to play an active role in this regard.

Frank Slevin said, currently the development of China-UK relations has embraced positive changes. The UKNCC is willing to continue to promote candid dialogue between the two countries, strengthen cooperation in responding to global challenges, and push the development of China-UK relations.
