Beijing, November 21st—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Union for the Republic (UNIR) from Togo, led by Assih Atissim, Deputy Executive Secretary of the UNIR.

Li spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era in line with the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He expressed that the CPC is willing to work with the UNIR to take the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe as guidance, intensify high-level exchanges and strategic communication, deepen the exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, enhance people-to-people and cultural understanding and friendship, strengthen unity and cooperation, and promote the in-depth development of the China-Togo comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Assih noted, the UNIR congratulates on the successful convening of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, admires the great achievements of Chinese modernization, and looks forward to further intensifying exchanges at all levels with the CPC, learning from the CPC’s experience in party governance and state administration, and deepening practical cooperation in various fields including trade and agriculture, so as to walk hand in hand on the road to modernization.
