Beijing, March 20th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended here today on the morning the opening ceremony of the 7th International Forum on Security and Strategy and delivered a keynote speech.

Lu said, the current international order is facing severe challenges, but maintaining the existing international system and promoting multilateralism remain the broad consensus of the international community. China has always been a defender of the international order and is actively committed to a world of equal and orderly multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization. It is hoped that all parties will resolutely abandon wrong practices such as beggar-thy-neighbor policies, double standards, division and confrontation, and shifting blames onto others to deflect attention from one’s domestic problems, to prevent the erosion of the international order and the loss of credibility of international rules. China will continue to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, and provide Chinese solutions for exploring a fair and reasonable international order. China looks forward to having more and more like-minded partners in this process.

Lu also answered questions from the participants on issues such as China-US economic and trade relations, the relations among major countries, the failure of multilateral mechanisms, and China's Asia-Pacific policy.

The 7th International Forum on Security and Strategy was hosted by the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University, with the theme of "Navigating New Paths in a Reshaping Global Order". More than 70 strategic experts and young representatives from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and other countries attended the event.
