Beijing, April 25th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with the fourth delegation of government officials and Parliament members of Papua New Guinea led by Hon. Koni Iguan, Member of the PANGU Party and Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea.  

Lu Kang introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era by drawing on the theoretical exploration and successful practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. He said that the CPC is willing to continue to engage in friendly exchanges with the major political parties of Papua New Guinea through various forms, strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, increase mutual understanding, promote practical cooperation, and advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Papua New Guinea to new heights. 

Iguan and others said, Papua New Guinea shares similar historical experiences and cultural traditions with China. All political parties in Papua New Guinea value the friendly relations with the CPC and hope to learn more from the CPC's experience in state governance and administration to explore a development path that suits our national conditions. The political parties of Papua New Guinea are willing to work together with China to promote bilateral relations for continuous development.
