Beijing, April 27th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), held discussions here today with leaders of media outlets of political parties and mainstream media outlets from over 20 countries. 

Sun expressed that media plays an important role in guiding public opinion and fostering inter-party relations. Against the backdrop of profound changes unseen in a century, the international discourse landscape faces complex dynamics, presenting multiple challenges for media organizations. China attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with media outlets of political parties and mainstream media outlets worldwide, and is willing to enhance mutual understanding and trust with various media outlets to respond to challenges together. Sun hoped that all media friends will make the most of this visit to China to gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Chinese modernization, and present an objective and truthful portrayal of China and the CPC to their own people through their respective platforms.   

The foreign side noted that great achievements have been made in the high-quality development, grassroots governance, cultural and tourism integration, and AI-powered media of Chinese modernization, offering valuable reference for nations worldwide. They will convey truthful and objective information about China to their domestic audiences, while looking forward to deepening exchanges and cooperation with Chinese media to amplify the Global South's voice and influence in international communication.
