Beijing, May 30th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Luther Tarpeh, National Chairman of the Unity Party of Liberia. 

Li spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. He said, the CPC is willing to work with the Unity Party to take the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Joseph Nyumah Boakai as the guidance, firmly support each other on issues concerning respective core interests and major concerns, work faster to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and closely cooperate in international affairs to promote the steady and long-term development of the strategic partnership between China and Liberia. 

Tarpeh said, establishing a strong relationship with China is a consensus of the Unity Party government, and Liberia will adhere to the one-China principle. Chinese modernization has set a brilliant example for many developing countries like Liberia. The Unity Party hopes to carry out institutionalized exchanges with the CPC, learn from China's experience in party building and development, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two Parties and the two countries, and promote the in-depth development of relations between Liberia and China.
