Beijing, June 16th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of the Nepali Congress Party (NCP) led by Bal Bahadur KC, Member of the Central Committee of the NCP and former Minister of Nepal.
Sun noted that China always sees Nepal as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy. For a long time, the two countries have continuously consolidated strategic mutual trust, deepened mutually beneficial cooperation, and firmly supported each other on issues involving respective core interests. The CPC is willing to work with the NCP and other major political parties in Nepal to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and make new contributions to the development of China-Nepal relations.
Bal Bahadur KC said that Nepal attaches great importance to developing relations with China, always regards China as a good neighbor and good partner, and firmly adheres to the one-China principle. The NCP is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with the CPC, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, facilitate practical cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, culture and tourism, and promote the continuous development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries.
