Beijing, July 1st—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Roy Leonardo Barreras Montealegre, former President of the Congress of Colombia.
Lu spoke positively of China-Colombia relations. He said, this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia. China is willing to work with Colombia to deepen cooperation in various fields, especially further expand practical cooperation in infrastructure, digital economy, clean energy and agricultural processing, and promote greater development of China-Colombia strategic partnership. Lu also briefly introduced the experience and practices of the CPC and the CPC's education campaign to implement the central Party leadership's eight-point decision on improving work conduct.
Barreras said, Colombia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to take the opportunity of Colombia's joining the Belt and Road cooperation and the BRICS New Development Bank to upgrade bilateral cooperation. Colombian political parties admire the great development achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC and are willing to engage in exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration with the CPC, so as to promote the development of relations between the two countries and benefit the two peoples.
