Beijing, August 20th—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Selçuk Ünal, newly-appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to China. 

Jin welcomed Ünal on his assumption of the new post in China and expressed that China is willing to work with Türkiye to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen inter-party exchanges and friendly cooperation in various fields, support each other on issues concerning core interests and major concerns, and promote the development of the strategic cooperative relationship between China and Türkiye. 

Ünal said, Turkey attaches great importance to developing relations with China, adheres to the one-China principle, supports the three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and looks forward to strengthening inter-party exchanges, deepening practical cooperation, enhancing exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, and promoting people-to-people bonds between the two countries. 

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
