Chen Zhou Meets with a Lao Delegation

Beijing, August 18th—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Bounleua Phandanouvong, Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations. 


Chen said, China and Laos are friendly socialist neighbors and a community with a shared future with strategic significance. China is willing to work with Laos to follow the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, strengthen communication and exchanges at all levels and through all channels, and jointly implement the new five-year action plan on building a China-Laos community with a shared future, making positive contributions to promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and maintaining regional and global peace, stability, development and prosperity. 

Bounleua highly praised the China-Laos relations, stating that both Laos and China are socialist countries led by communist parties. Laos regards China as its most trusted partner and is willing to continuously deepen exchanges and expand practical cooperation with China, promote in-depth and solid development of the building of the Laos-China community with a shared future, and constantly strive to maintain international fairness and justice and the common interests of developing countries.
