Beijing, September 3rd—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of the Bulgarian Socialist Party led by Atanas Zafirov, the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria. 

Sun welcomed Zafirov and the delegation of the Bulgarian Socialist Party to visit China and participate in the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. She said, China is willing to further enhance friendly exchanges between the two Parties, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, promote cooperation in various fields through inter-party channels, and advance the development of bilateral relations. 

Zafirov sincerely commended China's peaceful foreign policy and was impressed by China's achievements in modernization. He expressed the willingness to continuously strengthen exchanges at all levels between the two Parties, promote practical cooperation, and contribute to the development of Bulgaria-China relations and Europe -China relations.
