Beijing, September 27th—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Bounleua Phandanouvong, Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.
Chen said, not long ago, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping held a meeting with General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith who came to China to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and to conduct a working visit, charting the course and providing guidance for the development of China-Laos relations and the building of a community with a shared future in the next step. China is willing to work with Laos to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, enhance political mutual trust, promote practical cooperation, and strengthen multilateral coordination to continuously deepen the building of the China-Laos community with a shared future.
Bounleua said, Laos highly spoke of General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith's visit to China, especially the outcome of the meeting with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping. Under the new circumstances, Laos is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields with China, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, and continuously promote new results in the building of the China-Laos community with a shared future.
