Ma Hui Meets with Susan Kleebank, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil

Beijing, October 15th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today at request with Susan Kleebank, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, who was in China for the Global Summit of Women.

Ma said, the two heads of state jointly charted the future of China-Brazil relations, ushering in the best period in bilateral relations in history. China and Brazil are becoming reliable friends with a shared future and active forces for promoting peace. The CPC maintains friendly exchanges with all major political parties in Brazil and is willing to continue to promote the steady and long-term development of China-Brazil community with a shared future through inter-party channels. 

Kleebank congratulated China on the successful hosting of the Global Summit of Women. She said, Brazil will take the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state as an opportunity to deepen strategic synergy between Brazil and China, promote greater development of bilateral relations, and set an example of unity and self-reliance among major countries in the Global South. 

Marcos Galvao, Brazilian Ambassador to China, was present.
