Beijing, November 11th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a political and business delegation from Central and Eastern European countries led by Meira Hot, Vice-President of the Social Democrats Party and Vice-President of the National Assembly of Slovenia.

Ma elaborated on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, positively evaluated the relations between China and Central and Eastern European countries, and expressed that China is willing to work with Central and Eastern European countries to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both sides, further strengthen inter-party exchanges, promote practical cooperation in various fields through the "political party +" platform, and jointly promote new results in cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries and contribute to the development of the relations between China and the European Union (EU).
The foreign guests highly spoke of the strategic vision and effective measures of the CPC in formulating long-term plans, and expressed that the countries in the region attach importance to developing relations with China and are willing to further strengthen exchanges between the political and business circles of both sides through inter-party channels, deepen practical cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, as well as science and technology, and contribute to the stable development of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries and the China-EU comprehensive strategic partnership.
