Beijing, November 13th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of friendly personages from Southeast Asian countries.

Sun elaborated on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. She said, the plenary session has drawn a grand blueprint for China's development over the next five years, which will create more new opportunities for the further development of China's relations with Southeast Asian and other neighboring countries. China is willing to work with political parties, think tanks, media and other sectors in Southeast Asian countries to continuously deepen mutual understanding and trust, expand cooperation in emerging fields such as scientific and technological innovation, and contribute to promoting common development in the region and jointly building a community with a shared future among neighboring countries.
The foreign guests paid great attention to the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, and appreciated the new opportunities brought by China's new development to countries in Southeast Asia and around the world. They expressed the willingness to further strengthen dialogue and exchanges with China and expand cooperation in more fields to continuously push the relations between Southeast Asian countries and China to a new high.
