On November 14th, the Belt and Road China (Chengdu) - CEEC Business Dialogue was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Ma said, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC), the two sides have continued to strengthen political mutual trust, enrich inter-party exchanges, maintain sound and steady growth in economic and trade relations, and deepen practical cooperation across various fields. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union (EU). Cooperation between China and CEEC is an important platform for China-EU cooperation and a beneficial supplement to China-EU relations. China is willing to work with the EU to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders and expects the business and political communities of both sides to continue to play a bridging role, strengthen political guidance, focus on consensus on cooperation, promote demand matching, deepen practical cooperation, build cooperation platforms, and enhance people-to-people bonds to contribute to the development of China-EU relations and the global economic recovery.

Wang said, with China's continuous expansion of high-level opening up, Chengdu, relying on its complete hub functions, complete industrial system, first-class business environment, and livable and business-friendly environment, has become a hot spot for foreign investment and business. Chengdu actively integrates into the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism, and its exchanges with CEEC are becoming increasingly close. It is hoped that the dialogue will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen friendly exchanges with CEEC, continuously deepen practical cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and ecology, and jointly write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between Chengdu and the EU.

Hot expressed the willingness to further strengthen exchanges between the business and political communities of both sides, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote the stable development of China-CEEC cooperation and China-EU relations. Dancila said, China is an important partner of Romania and will take the dialogue as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Ke Zhizhong, President of the China Economic Cooperation Centre, presided over the dialogue. More than 150 representatives of the business and political communities from CEEC, including Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia, as well as from China, conducted in-depth exchanges and matchmaking in areas such as trade, investment, connectivity, and green and low-carbon development.
