Beijing, December 5th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Khamis Mussa Omar, former Tanzanian Ambassador to China and new Finance Minister of Tanzania.

Li thanked Omar for his contributions to the development of relations between the two countries and the two Parties, briefed on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and expressed that the CPC is willing to work with the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, strengthen cooperation in various fields and exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, jointly improve governance capacity and governance level, and promote the development of the two countries.
Speaking highly of the all-weather friendship between Tanzania and China, Omar said, Tanzania is willing to continue to learn from China's valuable experience in modernization, youth employment and other fields to help the CCM better resist external interference, deal with governance challenges, and lead the country to achieve self-reliance and strength.
