From December 21st to 25th, Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the CPC Xizang Autonomous Regional Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Malaysia and Sri Lanka. During the visit, he met respectively with Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of Sri Lanka; Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia; Johari Bin Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia; and Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) of Sri Lanka, and other political figures. Wang introduced the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to all sectors of the two countries and expressed that China is willing to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the leaders of Malaysia and Sri Lanka, share the development opportunities of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), and deepen exchanges and cooperation between Xizang and the two countries.
The Malaysian and Sri Lankan sides spoke positively of China's development achievements and expressed their willingness to deepen strategic alignment in the next five years, intensify exchanges between political parties and cooperation between localities, and bring more benefits to the people of both countries.
