Beijing, March 26th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Levent Gümrükçü, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.

Lu said, in recent years, China-Türkiye relations have maintained a stable development momentum under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye. The CPC is willing to take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with friendly parties in Türkiye, including the Justice and Development Party, to promote the healthy and stable development of the China-Türkiye strategic cooperative relationship. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), China will focus on expanding domestic demand, innovation-driven development, and green transformation, injecting stability and certainty into the world through high-quality development and high-level opening up, and providing more opportunities for practical cooperation between China and Türkiye.
Gümrükçü said, Türkiye attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to promote new progress in exchanges and cooperation in various fields on the basis of adhering to the one-China principle and mutual respect. Under the current circumstances, Türkiye is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China on international affairs and jointly safeguard multilateralism.
The two sides also exchanged in-depth views on international and regional issues of common concern.
