Chen Zhou Meets with Vietnamese Guests

Beijing, May 20thChen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of department-level officials of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPV Son La Provincial Committee and Head of the Organization Commission of the CPV Son La Provincial Committee. 


Chen noted, in April this year, To Lam, General Secretary of CPV Central Committee and Lao President, paid a successful state visit to China. General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President To Lam reached important consensus on building a higher-level China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. China stands ready to work with Vietnam to fully implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, give full play to the political guiding role of exchanges between the CPC and the CPV in China-Vietnam relations, adhere to the six overall goalsof "greater political mutual trust, more solid security cooperation, deeper mutually beneficial cooperation, stronger popular support, closer multilateral coordination and better handling of differences" for bilateral relations, continuously deepen China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperation, and advance the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future to a higher level. Chen also briefed the guests on the CPCs education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct view on governance performance. 

Nguyen Duc Thanh spoke highly of the development of Vietnam-China relations. He stated that Vietnam is ready to work with China to earnestly implement the important consensus of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, jointly implement the new round of inter-party cooperation plan signed during General Secretary To Lams visit to China, strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation, enhance mutual learning of experience exchange in party governance and state administration, and accelerate the building of a higher-level Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
