Beijing, May 31st—Zhao Leji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection met here today with Bounnhang Vorachit, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of Laos, who was in China for a visit.

Zhao expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping held successful talks with General Secretary Bounnhang Vorachit, charting the course for promoting the construction of a community of shared future between the two countries. Exchanges and cooperation between the two parties and anti-corruption cooperation are important contents of the building of the China-Laos community of shared future, and have achieved remarkable results. The Chinese side is willing to continue its efforts with Laos to deepen exchanges and mutual learning centering on party building and inner-party supervision, enhance the ability of each side to manage and administer the party, elevate the quality and level of anti-corruption between the two countries, and make positive contributions to the development of China-Laos relations.

Bounnhang noted that Laos speaks highly of the achievements of the CPC in practicing strict self-governance in every respect, and expressed satisfaction with the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties in anti-corruption work. The Lao side hopes to further learn from the CPC’s experience in party building, so as to jointly well build a community of shared future for the two countries.
