BEIJING, Jan. 14th — Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the British participants in the 6th China-UK Leadership of the Future Forum.

Wang said that this forum has become an important platform of contact and exchanges for political parties and politicians of the two countries and has facilitated the sound and steady development of bilateral relations.

Now China-UK relations are generally smooth, he said, the blueprint for China's future development launched at the 18th CPC National Congress will bring about new opportunities for closer practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

He expressed hope that the UK will demonstrate vision and join China to further improve bilateral relations.
