BEIJING, Jan. 23 -- Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here this afternoon with Martine Aubry, the French Foreign Minister's special representative on China, and former first secretary of the Socialist Party.

Wang spoke positively of China-French relations and elaborated the principles of the Communist Party of China for its external relations. He then briefed the guest on the CPC's 18th National Congress concluded in November, 2012. The Chinese side appreciates the active willingness of France in promoting the bilateral relations and stands ready to further strengthen political mutual trust and practical collaboration between the two countries, said Wang.

The Special Representative said that France also highly value relations with China and the important purpose of her visit is to discuss with the Chinese side ways to further cooperation between the two countries in both political and economic areas. France is ready to continue making positive effort for a new chapter in the relations with China, said Aubry.
