NANJING, April 23 --- The Fourth China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum lasting two days closed in Suzhou on April 23. Delegates from the Chinese and European sides conducted in-depth discussions centering the conference theme of “Promoting Win-Win Cooperation for New Breakthroughs in China-Europe Relations”, which increased mutual understanding and built consensus.

Vice-Minister Chen Fengxiang thanked delegates to the Forum for their joint efforts on behalf of the organizer. He said that exchanges at the Forum brought the two sides to the deep understanding that China and Europe now needs each other more than ever, that there are more conditions than ever for the two sides to engage in closer cooperation, and that the feature of win-win cooperation in China-Europe relations has been more prominent.

European delegates to the Forum expressed the hope that the Forum will continue to be held so as to enrich ideas and inject vigor in China-Europe cooperation and become an important pillar for China-EU comprehensive and strategic partnership.

After the closing ceremony, vice-minister Li Jinjun, together with leaders from the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and European political parties attended the Press Conference to answer questions on the outcomes of the Forum and new ideas for deepening China-Europe cooperation.
