SUZHOU, April 23 – Chen Fengxiang, vice-chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress and vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here this afternoon with the delegation of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization – Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity (VMRO–DPMNE) led by Silvana Boneva, member of the party's Executive Committee, coordinator of the VMRO–DPMNE Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of Macedonia and head of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly for Cooperation with China. Chen extended welcome to Boneva for her visit to China and her participation in the 4th China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum. Chen spoke highly of the exchanges and cooperation between China and Macedonia in political, economic, cultural and other fields and put forward suggestions on further enhancing exchanges and cooperation between the CPC and the VMRO–DPMNE, promoting growth of the bilateral relations between the two countries and facilitating cooperation in other areas.

Boneva thanked the Chinese side for the invitation and applauded the positive role of the Forum in fostering China-Europe relations. She stressed that her party highly values its friendly relations with China and is ready to work together with China in strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries so as to bring benefits to both sides.

The two sides also exchanged views on how to deepen parliamentary exchanges between the two countries.
