Chen Fengxiang meets KSČM President

SUZHOU, April 23 -- Chen Fengxiang, vice-chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC and vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met this afternoon with Vojtech Filip, president of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) of the Czech Republic, and his advisor Benjamin Szakal, who were in China to attend the fourth China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum.

Chen thanked Filip for coming to attend the Forum and for his strong attention to and active participation in the previous forums, and expressed appreciation over the long-term efforts of the KSČM to promote the development of relations between China and the Czech Republic on both state and party fronts, as well as gratitude to the KSČM for sending message of congratulations to the CPC over its 18th National Congress.

On his part, Filip said that China has made laudable achievements through reform and opening up under the leadership of the CPC. He expressed his party's willingness to draw the successful lessons of the CPC in party building and governance, hoping that the two sides can strengthen exchanges and cooperation.

Both sides also exchanged views on issues of inter-party exchanges and the current state of international communist movement.
