GENEVA, July 12  -- During his visit to Switzerland, Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, met this morning in Zurich with President of the Government Council of the Canton of Zurich Thomas Heiniger.

Hu said Switzerland is an important partner of China in Europe and it is of great significance to pursue cooperation between Swiss cantons and Chinese provinces. Hu pledged that China is ready to make joint efforts with Switzerland to boost the long-term and stable development of the bilateral relations.

Heiniger expressed Zurich’s will to seize the opportunity of this visit to further strengthen its all-sided cooperation with Guangdong Province and China as a whole in a bid to harvest mutual benefits and win-win results.
