Vladivostok, June 17th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Emilio Lozada García, Head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC).  

Liu said, the CPC and the PCC have maintained close exchanges and played an important role in promoting the development of China-Cuba relations. Both sides should jointly implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, make good use of the mechanism for informing each other of major matters within respective Parties and countries, continuously consolidate political mutual trust, conduct in-depth exchanges of experience in party building and state administration, strengthen the building of respective Parties and governance capability construction, and enhance cooperation in cadre training to contribute to the development of respective socialist undertakings. The CPC is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with the PCC on platforms such as the China-CELAC Political Parties Forum, the São Paulo Forum, and the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, to jointly safeguard international fairness and justice.  

Lozada thanked the Chinese side for providing Cuba with valuable support and selfless help in overcoming economic difficulties, saying that the Cuban side firmly adheres to the one-China principle, firmly supports China's great cause of reunification, and fully supports the three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. The PCC is willing to intensify high-level exchanges with the CPC, deepen theoretical discussions on economic management, youth work, etc., and promote cooperation in economy, trade, investment, and tourism.
